Who are EconoPlay users?

EconoPlay clients are economists, traders, analysts and other capital markets professionals who need to take positions ahead of data releases.

They include the top economists from three of the 10 largest global banks, who get from us an unbiased and unfiltered "street" perspective about the economy's direction.

Some of the nation's biggest corporations also use EconoPlay as a virtual "in-house" economist, citing its consistent reliability in forecasting near-term economic moves.

What is my user ID?

Your user ID is the same as the email address that you used to register. You cannot change your user ID. You can only change your password. Also remember your user ID is case sensitive.

EconoPlay outlooks are too long! I just don't have time to read them.

We put all our best information at the top!

Our headlines summarize what's going on.

Our three subheads reveal our best information.

And our first four or five paragraphs offer other juicy details that are not to be missed.

The rest of the outlook is reading for the subway, bus or train.

But we do NOT deal in sound bites! We give our sources a full hearing without chopping their words down to nonsense -- and it's why they talk to us time and time again!

If you feel you can invest on the basis of sound bites, our competitors will give you what you need.

If I do register for a free trial will you sell my information?

We do not share any information about our clients or registrants for any reason whatsoever, except for our own internal marketing efforts.

Can I get EconoPlay on my Blackberry or iPhone?

If you have internet access, absolutely! We are also working on an RSS feed, currently available by special request only.

What is the difference between EconoPlay and the Fed Beige Book?

1) EconoPlay tells the story of specific economic indicators before release, removing any surprises in the data. The Beige Book describes general economic conditions without making specific connections to economic indicators.

2) EconoPlay digs deep to describe the specific economic forces that influence upcoming data. The Beige Book describes economic events in broad generalizations.

3) EconoPlay cultivated relationships over many years. Business people speak to EconoPlay honestly and pubicly (where possible) because they trust us to get it right. Business people who speak to the Fed operate under a cloak of anonymity with all the attendant problems of anonymous sourcing.

4) We strive to make EconoPlay an interesting, bright and fun read. A bright read is not exactly a priority of the Federal Reserve.
